When 30,000 People Show Up, Someone Has to Keep It Clean

Every March, the tech world turns its attention to San Jose. NVIDIA's GTC conference is one of the largest and most attended AI and technology events on the planet, and the 2026 edition was no exception. From March 16 through 19, more than 30,000 attendees poured into the San Jose McEnery Convention Center from over 190 countries. Jensen Huang took the stage at SAP Center for a keynote that drew a massive crowd. The booths, the activations, the production scale of it all was extraordinary, and behind it all, a reliable event dumpster rental operation had to keep pace with the waste generated at every stage.

Behind every event like that, there is an operations team working around the clock to make sure everything runs without a hitch. And behind that operations team, there are service providers who have to show up, do their job without drama, and keep things moving no matter what.

That was us.

The Job

Forged was brought in by the logistics company responsible for running the physical operations of GTC 2026. Their job was to coordinate the infrastructure that makes an event of that scale actually function, and they needed a waste management partner who could keep pace.

We provided on-site dumpsters throughout the event and kept them serviced with ongoing hauls from setup through the final day of the conference. Events like this generate a steady and sometimes unpredictable volume of waste across multiple areas. There is no margin for a dumpster that fills up at the wrong time or a haul that does not show when it is supposed to. The work had to be reliable and responsive, full stop. That is what a dependable event dumpster rental partner delivers.

What This Kind of Work Requires

Large commercial and event jobs are a different animal than a residential cleanout or a straightforward construction project. The logistics are more complex, the stakes are higher, and the client is managing a hundred things at once. They do not have time to chase down their waste management contact. They need to know it is handled.

Serving the GTC 2026 logistics team meant staying ahead of the job rather than reacting to it. It meant knowing when to pull and swap containers before things backed up, being accessible when the team needed to make adjustments on the fly, and understanding that the success of the event was the top priority for everyone involved.

That is exactly the kind of partner we aim to be on every commercial dumpster rental job we take on.

Why It Matters to Us

We take a lot of pride in the commercial and large-scale work we do. Anyone can drop a box and walk away. The clients who run major events, large construction projects, and commercial properties need something more than that. They need a company that understands the job, communicates clearly, and executes without excuses.

Getting called in to support a conference like GTC 2026 is not something we take lightly. NVIDIA is one of the most recognized companies in the world right now, and the team managing their conference logistics has options. They chose to work with us, and we delivered.
